We’re so excited to announce that we’ve finally moved off our kitchen table and opened our first Pretty Little Treats Shop in Springfield Mill, situated in the beautiful village of Denby Dale, Yorkshire. It may not be the biggest shop in the world, but it’s certainly pretty and it’s a start. And I have to say that I’m so so proud of it and what our little family have achieved, especially in the face of adversity of the past 18 months!
We actually moved into The Mill in September last year as our little treats had started to fill the house to the point where we couldn’t actual move without tripping up over a bath bomb or standing on a soap fancy . So we knew it was time to grab the whipped wash by the horns and make the brave move from the kitchen table into this lovely characterful old Mill. And I have to say we love it here! It has such a fabulous community feel, and is great to be surrounded by other amazing independent businesses, both in the Mill and on the busy little high street too. It really is a lovely village and well worth a visit.
Since we’ve moved quite a lot has changed. Not only are we now opening our very own shop (too excited for words here!) but it’s also no longer just the 2 of us in the Pretty Little Treat Co team, well 2 and a half if you count Lily, as she’s getting older she seems to be taking quite a keen interest and she even has her own PLTC apron, which she’s super proud of. There are now 5 of us! and so, I’d like to introduce… the lovely Suzy, aka @notsogrinupnorth blog, the gorgeous Polly, aka @athome_with_polly and the amazing Jen who have all joined us over the last few months to help in all areas of the business. Looking back I really don’t know how we did it all without them now and I’m so looking forward to working together and seeing where our pretty little adventure leads us!
